I grew up in Sacramento. Lived for five years in Interior Alaska, including just shy of four years in the boonies of “greater” North Pole, Alaska (you can learn some about that here). I now live in a suburb in the growing-at-breakneck-speed Coweta County, Georgia, southwest of Atlanta. While living in Alaska did have its downsides, I liked it better there than here. But I wouldn’t move back to California for a million dollars. A billion, maybe—but only if I get to move away again once the check clears (after California taxes, the take would be so slim it still might not be enough to compensate).
I have college degrees from California State University Sacramento (government) and University of Alaska Fairbanks (applied business).
I’m a Life Member of the National Rifle Association, and belong to the Moose and the Clan Gregor Society. And I’m a “ham”—call sign AK4MC.
I have a wife, three cats and a dog, and I drive a Bronco.
